This page explains what cookies Cyklone uses, why, and how you can control them. It was last updated 23 July 2026.
What cookies we use
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
sessionid |
Keeps you logged in and remembers who you are between page loads. | Up to 2 weeks |
csrftoken |
Protects forms (reporting an incident, logging in, forum posts) against cross-site request forgery. | Up to 1 year |
These are strictly necessary cookies — the site cannot function without them (you couldn't stay logged in or submit a report), so they're set regardless of consent, as permitted under GDPR and the ePrivacy rules.
Cyklone does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies, and does not share cookie data with third parties.
Third-party content
The map on this site loads map tiles from OpenStreetMap contributors. Loading these tiles may expose your IP address to the tile provider in the same way any embedded image would, but Cyklone does not set or read cookies on their behalf.
Your choices
You can clear or block cookies at any time through your browser settings — note that blocking sessionid or csrftoken will prevent you from logging in or submitting forms. Dismissing the cookie notice on this site just records that you've seen this page; it does not set any additional tracking cookie.
